Kutula Privacy Policy

Core Privacy Approach

Kutula is designed so that notification processing happens on the device. This includes notification capture, normalization, grouping, prioritization, and inbox presentation.

Kutula does not use a cloud backend to process notification content.

Information Processed by the App

To provide its core functionality, Kutula may process notification-related information on your device, including notification titles, message text, sender or app information, timestamps, thread history, event history, and user actions such as categorization, spam marking, silencing, starring, and similar inbox-management actions.

This information is stored locally on your device so the app can show your inbox, thread detail, summaries, and learning-based improvements.

Permissions

Kutula may request the following permissions:

• Notification Access: Required to capture and organize notifications inside the app.
• Post Notifications: Used to show Kutula’s own summary or service-related notifications.
• Internet / Network Access: Used for ads in the free version, Google Play Billing, and model downloads or related service communication when applicable.

AI and On-Device Processing

Kutula may use on-device intelligence features, including ML-based categorization or summarization support, to improve inbox organization. These features are designed to operate locally on the device.

If language or ML components are needed, related model files may be downloaded through Google-provided services.

Ads and Third-Party Services

The free version of Kutula may display ads using Google AdMob. If ads are enabled, Google or its partners may process limited advertising-related or device-related data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Kutula’s premium version removes ads, but Google Play Billing may still process purchase-related data needed to manage subscriptions or entitlement status.

Relevant third-party services may include:

• Google AdMob
• Google Play Billing
• Google ML Kit or related Google services for model delivery

Website Measurement

The Kutula website may use cookieless, privacy-focused analytics to measure aggregate events such as page views, download clicks, and tool completions. This measurement does not send notification content or personal notification data.

Data Sharing

Kutula does not sell your personal data.

Kutula does not use a cloud backend for notification content processing.

Some data may be processed by third-party providers only where needed for ads, billing, or platform-level services, and only under those providers’ own terms and privacy policies.

Data Retention

Notification history and related app data are stored locally on your device until removed by you, deleted by app actions, or cleared through uninstall or device storage cleanup.

Kutula is configured to exclude its local app data from Android cloud backup and device-transfer backup paths.

Security

Kutula uses a local-first design to reduce unnecessary transmission of sensitive notification content. However, no app or device environment can guarantee absolute security, and users should protect access to their devices using the security controls available on the device.

Children’s Privacy

Kutula is not directed to children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. If changes are made, the updated version will be published with a revised effective date.
